 AMD “Strix Point”: Zen5, 3nm, big.LITTLE

Interesting (and unconfirmed) rumors about the CPU's AMD Ryzen 8000 based on the recently released Zen5 build by Moepc.

AMD 3nm Zen5 APUs labeled “Strix Point” are rumored to be big.

According to the website, AMD is currently developing the Penenix to build Zen4 buildings starting in 2022. It is said that details about Phoonix (upcoming Zen4 APUs) are now known. It is suspected that there will be a TSMC 5nm process with DDR5 funding. The series also contains rumors of integrated RDNA drawings.

Most importantly, however, the site claims to be aware of Zen5 buildings, which are allegedly labeled "Strix Point". The series will be produced using the TSMC 3nm process and be part of the Ryzen 8000 series. Strix Point is suspected to be an APU series, so that could be the Ryzen 8000G series to specify.

A major change compared to Zen4 APUs would be a major ARM approach. This means that Zen5 will include high (high) performance and high (low) performance, similar to the upcoming Intel Alder Lake series. Moepc says Zen5 CPUs can have up to 8 large cores up to 4 small cores, located at the bottom of Alder Lake.

The Zen 5 APU "Strix Point" belongs to the Ryzen 8000 series (at the time of writing), and will get a lot.LITTLE like Intel's Alder Lake and Raptor Lake, with 8 big Zen 5 cores and 4 little cores. It is scheduled to be launched in 2024.

The site also claims that AMD has already set its targets for Strix Point's graphics performance. It is said that Strix Point is also bringing about a major change in the memory system, but no exposure has been made.

According to the report, AMD Zen5 "Strix Point" is expected to start in 2024, but as mentioned in the article, it is too early to talk about the platform 3 years from now, when much can change, especially under current conditions where supply chains are severely affected.
