The Division 2

Ubisoft shared details of what to expect from Division 2 in 2021.  Plans include a new mode that, according to the development team, will be the opposite of anything we've seen in the series to date.  But since Ubisoft has recently decided to continue developing new content for the game, the release will be a little different.

Ubisoft did not share what the new mode is, but said it would be "completely new to the franchise", and that it was also working on new ways to help refresh players' roles.  When they will continue the current content of the game.  The upcoming Season 5 content in the game will actually be a return to Season 1 content, allowing those who are eventually snatched from them.  The goal is to keep players engaged, while the development team, which now includes Ubisoft Bucharest along with Ubisoft Massives, is working on brand new content.

As part of its announcement, Ubisoft also shared some statistics related to the game so far.  Across the franchise, 40 million players have arrived, and one agent involved in the game has revived others more than 27,000 times.  There have also been 156 billion head shots, and one agent has managed to climb more than 36,000 floors to the summit site.  There is no indication of a full third game from Ubisoft yet, but there was a gap of three years between the first and second games.  Ubisoft already has a large number of projects on its plate, including a new Open World Star Wars game and Avatar game.  No details have been released about the two titles, although we know that Fox Next and the Light Storm avatar will support the project and will use the same Snowdrop Engine as Division 2.
